UPDATE: DCCC Felt the Pain

An excellent and detailed Down With Tyranny post midway gives the news that contrary to earlier hands-off in terms of helping the Quist effort in Montana, funds have been freed up.

This post's headline is aimed to focus on that part of the Down With Tyranny post (but do read all of it). At the time of that post it was unclear the amount the DCCC would put into Montana, but that the money was placed under control of the Montana Democratic Party; not direct DCCC prioritizing from DC, not put under Quist control either.

Websearch might find the most relevant of possible posts on the DCCC opening to the Quist candidacy; but linking here is to a pair of related posts, KOS, they're staying out; and then, no, they're in for $400,000. How the spending will go likely will not be covered nationally, but so far the Republicans are spending like drunk sailors to get their corporatist-creationist ahead. Their guy is a software niche enterpreneur who sold to other businesses, and then sold the firm to Oracle for big bucks. The Montana legacy is resource oriented; mainly farming and ranching dominating their economy, and this Republican guy got his groundings east coast, Stevens Inst. of Technology, and Bell Labs, New Jersey roots, transplanting himself to Montana after making a small fortune back east, and prospering even more by his endeavors in Montana. His niche product allows companies big and small to outsoruce and manage customer relations; so while creating some jobs in Montana; H-1B imports as well as local people, it is hard to say his net effort was anything but a job killer, in toto.

A lot of this has already been posted here, and is even better known in Montana. Quist is a native Montanan, born into a ranching family, so his roots run deeper and to core Montana economy areas.

How the DCCC views its funding something in Montana is unclear, other than first no, then yes, and let's see. So, did they freeze out a Berniecrat? NO. Are they bubbling with the enthusiasm shown Issoff in Georgia, NO there too.

BUT BOTTOM LINE - DC DEMOCRATIC PARTY MONEY HAS BEEN PUT INTO THE ROB QUIST EFFORT IN MONTANA TO WIN THE STATE'S ONLY HOUSE SEAT FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, AND AS A SIGN OF VIABILITY OF THE BERNIECRAT MOVEMENT. IT WOULD BE UNGRACIOUS TO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE EFFORT TO HELP FROM DC DEMS. IT IS A GOOD THING TO SEE.

MAY QUIST WIN AND PROVE SOMETHING. WE HAVE THAT HOPE. AND DCCC HAS SHOWN UP TO THE TUNE OF FOUR HUNDRED GRAND. PERHAPS MORE TO COME BEFORE THE ELECTION IS DECIDED, MAY 25.
