And why Wall Street always gets a free pass and Main Street pays along with little guys.
Numbers 1, 4, 5 and 8. Any questions? Ask Nancy. Ask her what her net worth is and how it got built. No 12? Go to top 50, and gee, 27, 29 and 30. And 24.
Sometimes you can agree with KOS:
According to the Daily Kos Rules of the Road, this site is designed to help make "a stronger more effective, more progressive Democratic Party." This has proved very difficult to do because those in Democratic leadership have seemed out of touch with the voters they claim to represent. No elected leader in the House shows this more than Nancy Pelosi.
Helpful links are there. This link, from there, to The Observer.
Linking also, here.
A choice for a change; and a twitter stream.
A telling screencapture from a key part [besides the contribute page] of https://jaffe4congress.com/
LA Times, dated April 26, 2017, stating:
"I know that Ms. Pelosi's strategy has been to essentially ignore anyone who has challenged her, but I anticipate she'll have a more difficult time doing that with my candidacy," Jaffe said in an interview. He thinks if local, progressive activists can propel him to a runoff with Pelosi, he'll have a "quite realistic chance" of winning.

While researching in a cursory way Jaffe and his issue positions, no Sherman Statement about superdelegate status should he win was found, Jaffe has to know there were heavy thumbs on the scale when he was all in for Bernie and became devastated by how the Clintons prevailed, their superdelegate/DWS/DNC ways and means.
________________UPDATE_______________
Dunceville again. I failed to read a page I linked to. Jaffe's contribute page. That's a quite bad error in blogging.
In penance, two things I worried Jaffe was deficient about, the superdelegate thing in the above closing paragraph, and where to send a snail mail check.
BOTH THINGS ARE PROMINENT, ON THE CONTRIBUTE PAGE.
Snail mail:
Want to mail in support? Here's the office of my treasurer:
The Committee to Elect Stephen R. Jaffe
c/o Warren & Associates
20 Galli Drive, STE A
Novato, CA 94949-5731
Then key text on that page, including bullet points, which in turn include a critique of superdelegate evil:
Congress must assert itself to restrain Trump's military adventures. Other issues are:
-- Pass single payer health care (Medicare for all). It is time for the US to join the rest of the civilized world and provide universal health care as a moral right;
-- Eliminate superdelegates. They are undemocratic and unDemocratic (both little "d" and big "D") and perpetuate the dominance of corporate Democrats at the head of our Party;
-- Stop denying Science, particularly as it pertains to global warming;
-- Stop accepting of contributions from corporations whose interests conflict with Democratic Party values (oil, Big Pharm, insurance, huge financial conglomerates, etc.); No more DINOs - Democrats in Name Only.
-- Address homelessness and decriminalize mental illness;
-- Abolish mandatory arbitration in employment disputes and commercial relationships with consumers;
-- Protect the rights of minority religions and of those with no religion in Trump's perverted vision of America;
-- Assure the integrity and independence of the Supreme Court and lower courts;
-- Campaign finance reform.
I need your help to make these changes.

Platform in a Nutshell 101. Well done. Send the guy a check, or just ActBlue.
I bet if Jaffe were to ever read this, he'd analogize me to a judge who does not read the paperwork before a hearing, and then asks, "Well, sir, what about . . ." Read the stuff is my own lesson of the day. Not the first time it's happened, not the last, but try.
_____________FURTHER UPDATE_____________
The contribute page does have room for "Student loan relief," and "Payday lender reform," and it is clear Jaffe will accept contributions from labor unions. This is not criticism, but notice. At a guess, any viable campaign finance reform would mean some unions would have to give a little too, for the public to gain a lot. Payday lenders: can you say Debbie Wasserman Schultz? That alone is cause to expressly add them to any abuses-to-fix list. (Along with Debbie.)
Student Debt Relief? Why not? Also: Demilitarization of police. That one is close to listing per text given in the contribute page preamble. Other side, the police have a strong union. And labor has its lobbyists; a word absent from the bullet-point list.
The man has the right to define his own agenda, and too much on one plate just creates leftovers.
Aside from any quibbling; wrote and sent the 5 x $27 check; it's in the mail.
Retire Pelosi, Make Progress Smile.
_____________FURTHER UPDATE_______________
Endorsements for those caring greatly: At this point Jaffe does not have an Our Revolution endorsement. Nor a formal Justice Democrats endorsement. Don't worry. YouTube recognition of the candidacy has been warm. Expect recognition to grow. This is very early in the process. The candidacy is young, e.g., The Observer report dated less than two weeks ago, 04/30/17. Yet even the alt-right has taken notice; although Brietbart being the beast it is, their intent is to have another vehicle to post as news while using the post to bash Pelosi; more that than to really focus on Jaffe and the policy alternatives he offers over Pelosi. Expect Brietbart as well as FOX to bash them both if/when Jaffe shows a strong run for the seat, in 2018 or earlier.
______________FURTHER UPDATE______________
As good a YouTube link as any, and short, here. NOTE THAT IF YOU TOGGLE "SHOW MORE" BELOW THE VIDEO BOX YOU GET A LIST OF YOUTUBE EARLY COVERAGE OF JAFFE'S RUN. EVEN TWO FOX LINKS. WATCH THOSE FOX ITEMS. JAFFE HANDLES LOADED QUESTIONS WELL, AND THE MODERATORS DO ALLOW HIM TO FAIRLY STATE HIS CASE; EVEN WITH TIME SHORT ON EACH, IT GOES BEYOND SOUNDBITE NATION.
Looking forward as more interview content gets uploaded, to see how Jaffe handles the open/closed primary issue. At its worse closed primary loading of the dice could say a primary ballot Dem side is only open to registered Dems as of some badly set and arbitrary cutoff date. The virtue of cutting out crossover Republicans that way is countered by what Jaffe/Bernie sued for, a longer registration period to allow new activist young people a fair voice even if they were too late to register under Draconian cutoff tampering. It is part of the voter repression/manipulation concern, so a guess at a Jaffe position, only a guess, is he'd favor open primaries. We have to wait and see, and while very important, one position or the other on Jaffe's part is not in any sane measure a deal killer. Reader help: If Jaffe is on record to be on one side of the issue, please leave a comment with a link to sourcing.
The Jaffe issues page.
________________FURTHER UPDATE_______________
Hat tip to this YouTube item, it is where I first learned of the candidacy. But the commentator, Mike(?), apparently mangles the man's last name, something common on several of the early commentary; (it appears the -e is sounded not silent, and is a long e, not as in Porsche). Get past that and it is an interesting editorial statement. Cosponsorship of HR 676 - Pelosi MIA on cosponsoring - is a point of emphasis. Almost as if a litmus test to the commentator.
