JD gave a speech in Europe. It has cooked for a few days, so Crabgrass should say something while it is current.

[UPDATE - The White House posted the speech on YouTube, here.]

Using the web is always of interest.

search =  text of JD vance speech

Straightforward enough, but if you try it with a different search engine, or the same one I used, but with your profile, who knows if what you get is what I got.

It must be a hot search, because for me it came with a bot blurb:

Assist

The full text of JD Vance's speech at the Munich Security Conference can be found in various online sources, including news websites and transcripts. You can search for "JD Vance Munich Security Conference speech transcript" to access it directly.

Auto-generated based on listed sources. May contain inaccuracies.

Show answers more often. (You can also_______________.)

What did not copy ... can also turn them off  - that being a link that was formatted to NOT copy, so I toggled it and the bot blurb vanished! replaced by a thumbs up thumbs down feedback query. The web surprises. Have I forever killed bot blurbs now? More about that at the post's end.

At any rate, the speech is the topic, not finding it would have been a load, although that is a part of the saga because the web is full of reporting of what the speech said, in part, and/or how to interpret it. But I am of the Read-It-Myself school.

One of the bot-returned items is behind a subscription wall, the other, not, at least as to how I have formatted my browser. But both uncommon links for USA readers.

more directly, early hits: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2025/02/14/full_speech_vice_president_jd_vance_addresses_munich_security_conference.html

https://voz.us/en/politics/250215/21114/the-full-transcript-of-jd-vance-s-speech-that-shook-europe.html

And that one had a stay-with-us link over: https://voz.us/en/politics/250212/20987/virginia-bans-the-use-of-the-chinese-ai-deepseek-on-any-state-government-device-or-network.html (opened in a new tab, read it after the post is finished - DeepSeek is its own news thing and how big is an uncertainty - but it moved the market Nvidia declined briefly)

So the search algorithm surely knew what speech I meant, bingo, right on.

Now, about the speech itself - you have the full text link - it might even be on YouTube so you can track JD's speaking nuance. But its impact, an analysis - who am I to say? All I want is peace in our time.

And the speech was about --- speech, and yet I feel if I were to throw rocks at it that might be noticed by somebody with skin in the game, to where I could be hunted down, cornered, and destroyed as an enemy of someone with power. Who'd want that on themselves? So, read the fucker and handle it in your own mind.

Now, what I said I would end the post with - there was a link in there that landed in the Blogger posting page, saying:

Chat

Chat (via our Duck.ai service) lets you have anonymous conversations with 3rd-party AI chat models, which supports models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and more. Turning this setting off will hide Chat buttons and links on DuckDuckGo Search. However, you can still access Chat when this setting is off by visiting https://duck.ai directly.

Assist

Assist can anonymously generate AI-assisted answers to some searches based on summarizing relevant web content. You can choose how often you want Assist to appear: Never (completely removes Assist UI from search results), On-demand (only shows AI-assisted answers if you click the Assist button), Sometimes (only shows AI-assisted answers when highly relevant), or Often (shows more frequently on a wider range of searches). For now, AI-assisted answers are only available in the U.S. (English) region.

Finally while this post does dwell on web algorithm evolution technology - it is the speech which has leverage and you've been given the full text links that, for now, work.
