Read only and copy privileged is less a worry than authority to alter code, where the code is not transparent and yet is mission critical, as with the government paying out money. If a full copy of data in a data base is fed to somebody's AI system and then data mining of that AI system is tried, data privacy is a concern, but underlying data integrity should be protected. If young hotshot guys mess around where the langage is one no longer taught in colleges, look out.
