A political study that is worth reading, agree or disagree.

The executive summary website blurb, here.

The pdf 30 page memo, here.

Read it, think it over.

Thanks for sharing this. Have only read the summary, this evening. It feels like a good capture of who these folks are, based on their politics.

Appreciate the wordsmithing to recognize three basic GOP groups - the Moral Majority Evangelicals, the libertarian anti-government Tea-Partiers, and the conservative economic Traditionalists who end up as the "Moderates." Some common ground, but clearly lots of internal antagonisms there.

Wes - What it helps me with, "Evangelicals," vs. the Karl Rovian exploitation of such people's allegiance. I call the Rovians "Jesus Jockeys," since they will mount up and push the ride as far as it goes, using whip and spurs as needed. Trouble instigators. Bomb throwers. Evangelicals, sincere in their belief, should be amenable to live and let live. Lest they forget, there is a parable about throwing the first stone. Bachmann, she still seems to never run out of stones/targets. Again, trouble instigators.
