Northstar, the great Anoka County politically driven thing, what of considering this list:
• Accelerated delivery of advantageous investments
• Expanded early benefits for rail passengers
• Reduced costs
• Greater cost-effectiveness
• Fewer construction and operating impacts on communities
• Coordinated planning and investments among state, regional, and local agencies
• Improved transportation and reduced congestion in metropolitan areas
• Reduced air pollution, including greenhouse gas emission
Of course. The answer to turning the thing around.
However, add a bit of further thought, then read this, particularly the final paragraph.
Hat tip David Levinson's April 4 Linklist (which includes notice of the Roseville impact fee litigation).
Don't you kind of expect Look or Yantos at any moment to come out with a list? Etc.
Perhaps a list of why it's eminently sensible (outside of pure politics, of course) to stick a new stop in Ramsey but not to reach St. Cloud until an indefinite number of years into the future, St. Cloud being the area from which the bulk of Northstar ridership arises, via a bus link between St. Cloud and Big Lake.
