I am told that hotel owner Jim Graves is now the DFL endorsed CD 6 candidate to oppose Republican Michele Bachmann.

UPDATE: DFL ENDORSEMENTS. JIM GRAVES, CD 6. BRIAN BARNES, CD 3. NEW SD 35 MAINLY INCLUDES CITIZENS IN CD 6, WITH SOME IN THE THIRD DISTRICT. THE SENATE DISTRICT THUS SENT DELEGATES TO BOTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT CONVENTIONS. REPORTING ON THE GRAVES-BACHMANN CONTEST, THIS GOOGLE.

It's word of mouth that Graves won the endorsement.

It is officially reported Graves will be the CD 6 DFL-endorsed candidate, per MPR, here and here.

I do not know how many ballots, but I expect by the end it was an endorsement by acclimation.

Now, if you want to see a skilled woman serving in the US Senate debate a bozo from the US House:

Kirsten Gillibrand (Democratic Senator, NY) will be discussing women and the economy opposite Rep. Michele Bachmann on Meet the Press with David Gregory tomorrow.

You can watch this critical election-year discussion by tuning into NBC Sunday morning (check your local listings to confirm the exact time).

Gillibrand will discuss why it’s vital to be a strong advocate for advancing women’s rights and economic opportunity.

It should prove interesting. Bachmann courts this, it's nationally televised, but bet she will duck extensive debating with Graves. Ya betcha. Titanium spine she says she has. Watch her prove what's true by sseing her ducking debating chances hither and yon - in district.
