Federal income tax last minute filers - a bump into Friday 13 gloom and doom.

Apparently since the last Windows update there has been a TurboTax printing problem that has been noted on the web:

I do not think this is some web mischief spoofing. Given two pages, I expect the situation is real.

Apparently that is because the 14th falls on a weekend and there is a Washington DC holiday on Monday, or that is the explanation someone gave me.

I hope this is helpful. I can understand how some might panic.

If you are doing last minute work on forms, and will want to print, and have not done the Microsoft Windows update from Tuesday, you might best nod do it until you have tax forms in order.

If you are in the middle of a struggle-worry situation you will not be reading here.

However, if you get a desperate call from a friend this weekend for help, and have read this, you probably will be able to exact almost any price you demand in exchange for Workaround info. Finally the TurboTax site indicates an around-the-clock effort to fix things beyond the suggested workaround. Sat. April 14 is their target date for posting an online fix - and you can sign up via the above link for email notification direct from TurboTax once they have the software working this weekend.

Again there is a Microsoft forum page, and a TurboTax page, links given above, yet a Google News search does not report this problem as current "news." I would think it is news, at least to some.
