Uh - - -

Don't go away mad . . .

Pure Bull.

So, after exploring the premise of saying so - making it so;  if you have heart and soul yearnings for a renaissance of true Democrats, grassroots up and not top down "knows best"  pure bull; help give Keith Ellison a broom.

___________UPDATE_____________
Old-timers may remember Hubert and the Dixicrats. Hubert had a broom and good came of it. Strom went to where he'd always belonged, etc. It was less audacity than pure decent good sense.

72 commentators did not miss a Nov 30 op-ed at MinnPost, "Had it with the Democratic Party," but I did, and you might have. Here's the link.

Including comments, here. It speaks for itself, go there, and as an incentive for link following - knowing how it is and saying so - this opening screen capture:

And we've one in Minnesota's executive top spot; given Wilfare as it happened, how it happened. It's that old lesser evil stuff still marketed and likely so forever. Yes, lesser evil gaming has its Inner Party Dem popular status, which is unpopular with the populace who want quality.

---

Comments at MinnPost remain open, so read the short item, some of the commentary, and add your two-cents-worth if you choose.

And, for fair disclosure, I voted the Dayton lesser-evil, and the Obama lesser evil, even second term; but drew the limit at the gender/money biased Madeline Albright chum, the one having Lloyd Blankfein's direct Goldman private extension number on the rollodex [or is the term on the insecure Blackberry contact list].

Run a crook, learn from a blowhard besting her.

Or not.

Years ago Andy Aplikowski at the time he was taking handgun lessons posted a rhinoceros RINO target of his, on Residual Forces. I emailed him about it, and he emailed back a dinosaur image, captioned DINO. I consider that wiser as years have passed than I did then.

DINO is a term in need of flesh on the skelton, and the MinnPost item goes there.

________________UPDATE____________
At the time of pulling the trigger to publish this post the MinnPost comment thread was up to 79. I'd have made it 80 if the comments were not "registration-blocked" and I'd have posted there the final two paragraphs above. I now have a better understanding of how the term RINO registered strongly with discontented Republicans.

...........................

Folks, it's now DINO time, a time for sorting wheat from chaff. Big tent / big schment; the tent needs narrowing lest the RINO/DINO Venn diagram set overlap continues to devour any and all differences besides which cabal gets the spoils. America deserves better; the world does too. Progressives, you know the score so figure out how to change it, please.

_____________FURTHER UPDATE_____________
Steve Timmer back in Cucking Stool days in a post near the end posted this image of the blind leading the blind, by Pieter Bruegel. At a guess he did not then foresee how fit a segue he'd created for his new blog, left.mn

further update - bad link fixed, and by Dec. 4, 9:00 pm, the Minn Post item had 92 comments, as the site's "most commented."

____________CLOSING UPDATE____________
Capping this post at the 92 level; and with NOT reading all of Minn Post's commentary; a favorite emerged; proving there are multiple ways to say give Keith Ellison a broom.

Dumbness at the ballot box earns its just rewards; a story a/k/a "What else did you expect?"

SF Gate carrying an AP feed. What did you expect besides dividing spoils between buddies? Clinton would have done the same; difference being the makeup of the set of brigands; not mediocrity and sleaze per se.

Did the AP authors choice of humanizing opening paragraphs remind anyone of Trump U. and its ways and means?

It's "told you so" time; but Jill Stein and the Johnson-Weld ticket did offer a choice, but one rejected by voters for the same-old same-old, while expecting a change.

No CHANGE with Obama, no change with the Trumpster. As before; Brigands in expensive suits prosper (or in "Trump Collections" suits, made in China); vs brigands in expensive pantsuits as would have been the Clinton choice, but then, so what?

No Huma any more; but then, so what?

Diogenes' lamp burned out centuries ago.

Etc.

And Podesta, though thin, will remain far, far from starving. Reprehensibility knows few party bounds. The way of the beltway is not hard to discern, but one hell of a hard nut to crack, so go Bernie, go Keith, and . . . Nancy Pelosi, still?

Canada anyone:

http://www.trump.com/merchandise/signature-collection/

UPDATE: Can you say empty Trump Collection suits? (Did you need that link as a hint, or are identities, despite the plentitude, obvious?)

Now tell me this, where will Trump stash Michele Bachmann? Gotta be a place . . .

Or Marcus Bachmann, what with all of his qualifications? Or Julie "Wilfare" Rosen?

INSINCERITY. But then you are talking Republicans . . .

Strib subheadline, "Capitol Republicans are taking over top floor of new Senate Building after upbraiding DFLers for its construction. "

Horse-heinies. The sort that would eat all the better chocolates from the box, after bitching about how they taste and the cost of the box.

Give them a conscience, and they'd become Democrats.

____________UPDATE____________
So much for the locals. Glen Taylor's Strib also features an item about the dynamism and creativity of the Democrats, on the national stage.

And it's the local paid staff at Strib doing well when not carrying AP or other nationwide feeds. Bless the press.

Dan Burns has several new and worthwhile posts at MPP.

They speak for themselves. This link, and earlier ones, in sequence.

FRANCE - WINDOWS - FIREFOX.

Google's recently redesigned Blogger dashboard has an "Audience" sidebar feature, e.g., a screen capture from Crabgrass explaining the headline:

FRANCE?

France has an election, in the spring, of next year; this websearch, this link.

Paycheck Pursuit. Spoils/Spoils hunters, open season at Trump Tower where THE MAN is holding court.

The potentate distributes largess; and do Scott Brown and/or Pete Hegseth presently have real jobs, or are they being carried in some way, FOX commentator, whatever? Seekers of their fortune, each, eager, interchangeable.

Brown/Hegseth. Or, Hegseth/Brown?? Interchangeable, as are their empty suits.
image: this link.

And, Mitch McConnell's wife? Possibly in line for a cabinet level paycheck, as during Bushco?

Mitch McConnell, one look at him, he should be wearing a coon skin cap, carrying a musket, visiting Dogpatch with promises and cliche. As during Al Capp's heyday.

It's Pre-inaugaration jobs program-and-policy time, THE MAN's way.
Try to finagle an invite. THE MAN may have a job for you. However good or bad THE MAN actually is at making deals, he still has yet to figure how to acquire The Ring of the Fisherman, while remaining in Trump Tower. If he can do that, then I will be a believer too along with my Republican friends. Also believing as they do that leaving THE MAN's empire in THE CHILDRENS' hands would obviate all conflicting interest worry, now and onward.

AND - Where in all this is friend Pence? Issuing invitations? A one-man steering committee? Or in FRANCE? There, preaching "Stronger Together?"

_____________UPDATE______________
Politico's  showing a sense of humor? At least not a Hegseth/Brown headlined clone . . .

__________FURTHER UPDATE________
Once Trump is inaugurated he and Mitch and the Ryan guy can cook up a new cabinet post; "Secretary of Pork, Spoils, and Retribution;" thereby creating a place and paycheck for Chris Christie. There'd be no sense of urgency. Gov. Bridgegate still has New Jersey for now.

__________FURTHER UPDATE________
Heidi Cruz with her CFR ties, Secretary of State; Mitt Romney, what else really, Ambassador to Israel. Lots of face-time with Bibi. Remember, you read it here first, should it happen.

Jeb, Ambassador to Paulau? Out of harm's way, that way.

Or Ambassador to Mexico where he speaks the language and could be suitably tasked with getting Mexico to make wall payments. ("Wall? What Wall? Yesterday's Wall having morphed post-election into today's "fence in places.")

All for now.

___________FURTHER UPDATE___________
We wait to see how conventional a Republican insider Trump really is. It will be shown by what, if anything, the Trump Administration has to give to Virginia Thomas. The Bushes treated her okay, during the Gore v. Bush progression, and earlier, (having liked John Danforth's suggestion about filling the Thurgood Marshall seat vacancy).

Last, how many Trump University "graduates" do you figure to find a Trump Administration paycheck (either as a reward for past payments, or because of exceptional sagacity and merit)? Only the best need apply now, as at Trump University, where we can guess many applied but few were accepted, (the cream rising to the top at Trump U.  being the entire truth there, despite shabby contentions in court pleadings and some possible implications of the $25 mil buyout of the lawsuit which small-minded people might prejudicially infer from an adjudication bought out before it could be.
