State of California v. Trump
Appeal: 1st Cir. No. 26-1774
District: D. Mass. No. 1:26-cv-11581-IT
The First Circuit denied motions to stay Judge Indira Talwani's injunction pending appeal, leaving in place the order blocking implementation of the Executive Order's DHS citizenship-list and USPS ballot-mail provisions in the plaintiff states through the November 3, 2026 election. The court held that the government had not shown the states lacked standing or that their claims were unripe, distinguishing the D.C. Circuit's recent NAACP v. USPS stay as involving different legal issues. One judge dissented in part

Trump administration asks Supreme Court to clear the way for it to implement new mail-in voting rule
ByAmy Howe/Sep 3, 2026
If you find these few items insufficient for your understanding and voting needs, you probably can phrase a less crude search than what got these returned
This is a major, major, major Trump effort to suppress voting, and it stinks. It should not prevail among the Supremes, but that bunch is hard to guess. BUT READERS KEEP ATOP THIS ONE. IT TELLS YOU IF YOU MAY HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL ELECTION DAY, OR VOTE IN PERSON DURING THE EARLY VOTING PERIOD YOU STATE ALLOWS YOU. BOTTOM LINE: IF THE POST OFFICE GOES AS TRUMP COMMANDS, YOUR VOTE MAY BE UNCOUNTED - A BAD OUTCOME.
UPDATE: Look at it this way when weighing Trump swinish voter suppression efforts - If he does not want people to vote, it means voters should not vote -- for Him. Not for His people. His lackeys. His kiss-ups. No Kings starts there.
FURTHER: I bet Tom Emmer has an opinion on this voter tampering business. He has his official site and a campaign site where a CONTACT link should exist. Contact the guy. Ask him.
Others not in the HD MN6 but in other MN districts, consider this. Voters in other states - you have a Rep incumbent and that individual wants your vote this November. So, make a contact, and see if you get stiffed entirely, or a song and dance. It's your right to pose questions and expect answers.
Especially get after Emmer on this. He's full of himself as house whip, so ask him too how that does jack for people suffering in his district under his representation. Ask him how much crypto he's invested in, given how he promotes the junk. Ask him that. Ask him anything.
Doug Chapin has a lengthy background in voting considerations, so you can ask him too. But don't swamp him because unlike Emmer, he is busy meeting daily with people throughout the district. When you can attend one of his live events in the area you live in, you can ask there.
He might even post a press release on the question, something like that.
