ABC Newspapers: "Shining a (purple) light on domestic abuse By: Connor Cummiskey Staff Writer Oct 1, 2018"

Here, beginning:

Ramsey City Hall, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and Zion Lutheran Church will shine light on domestic abuse with purple lights during National Domestic Abuse Awareness month.

The Rachel Ministry Circle at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka has been encouraging the displays and helped arrange and pay for some of the lights.

“The idea is to get as many places as possible, either businesses or public buildings, lit in purple during the month of October to observe Domestic Violence Awareness month,” said Mary Sheie, a volunteer with the Rachel Ministry Circle.

In Ramsey flood lights, rope lights and tree lights will be displayed on three sides of the city hall. The Sheriff’s Office in Andover will have flood lights on the entrance, and Zion will illuminate its cross in purple.
