It is appropriate for law enforcement in light of their job risks, and beyond that it is a great step for the community. Most of us either have needed a transfusion in the last three years or know some close friend or family member who has. Without donors, the program would fail, and people could die unnecessarily. I made the one gallon donor mark while younger, but did not surpass that. I respect those having reached higher donor milestones.
