Not living in CD8, I do not vote there. That is not stopping opinions, and while earlier I favored Leah Phifer and wrote of it, she got sandbagged at the endorsement convention by the DFL Latino Caucus and stepped out of things for party unity, enough said, since the headline reads as it does.
This is like an endorsement, of the lesser evil sort. Radinovich being close to Justin Perpich and such, earlier posting having been as it was.
Radinovich would have been much easier to favor had he been campaign manager for Mayor Carter instead of Mayor Frey, but candidates pick their staff and not vice versa. The Radinovich legislative career was cut short by his mind being at the right place at the wrong time, per City Pages.
THE POINT -
Stauber has promised so vehemently that he's painted himself into a tight corner while Radinovich has kept his powder dry. Stauber as owned and operated by the mining interests, that cannot be said, but voluntarily indenturing himself that way without need shows something unlikable.
Unlike Stauber, Radinovich has got sense. Wisdom over folly is always a good bet, and if up there home on the Range I'd vote Radinovich.
More right place, must of been the wrong time. Lori Swanson was the target of the MinnPost hit piece anyway, not Nolan, not Radinovich - collateral damage, sad, but Radinovich seems acquited of fault.
End of endorsement.
Tune time.
