Why? Who's calling the shots that way?

Breitbart reports: Social Media Struggles to Moderate the Flood of Leftist Love for Alleged CEO Assassin Luigi Mangione

The phrasing of that headline magnifies its bias. What Mangione did is kill a rat. A rat who out of greed, making multi-millions of dollars from opposing what the people want; Medicare expansion and ultimately Medicare for All via a decent public option or government provided base care for all, and where insurers could offer extended care options. They'd not be wiped out, but they'd be curtailed to a limited role.

This profit-grubbing rat, featuring above all else his own well-feathered nest, stood between what people want, and where his personal greed led him toward exploitation of people in major distress. Doing so for money.

Lugui did something to end a logjam. Not enough, but it did awaken people adamantly saying what they want.

When the issue was last a hot button item, public opinion was overwhelming.

In early 2024 people still favored medicare expansion, not curbing or curtailing it. That was before Luigi shot the rat, when media were not talking of the issue, but largely silent. Media owned by wealthy people. Through 2024, when polled, people in large numbers were clear. They liked better healthcare legislation, when enacted.

Luigi shot the issue front page. Doing that was not by persuasion, but by action. Persuasion had never worked but pulling the trigger did, and now Breitbart likes the issue being stifled by ownership efforts in social media (can you say Elon Musk/billions of dollars/X formerly Twitter). Read that Bannon/Breitbart headline again and read the item, the slanted reporting, be skeptical, see how it weighs with your own preferences.

Without Luigi the issue was being engineered to languish; status quo being favored by the rats and their allied interests. Their greed was more important to them, profiting from others suffering being fine with them, the more the payoff the better.

So Luigi awakened things. For that we should be grateful to him for acting when other forces were also acting, but to lull and not to awaken. Bless Luigi. He shot a rat.
