Hunter Biden and his lawyer call out the Comer inquiry. If Comer is not bullshitting the nation, the public, then what's the objection to public testimony before the full committee, ask any questions you want, and the sunshine will be on the whole thing, for what it is, for what the evidence in total says, with the voters able to become fully informed via public on record testimony?

Readers can sample the returns from that search.

Meanwhile, a Crabgrass hat tip to Emptywheel, for posting in a way that caught attention. Read that, along with any other generic coverage.

It helps the public to understand that what smells like bullshit IS bullshit. End the circus, or take the offer and run with it. But playing games where the public's right to hear and know are curtailed are un-American practices which should be scorned.

With an election pending one has to wonder why House Republicans seem willing to make their party and their inquiry hurt Republican election chances, top ballot and down ballot.

BOTTOM LINE: Public hearings are where you can allow the public to hear. Without cherry picking a part of some deposition testimony and dwelling on that rather than giving a fair focus to the entirety of a question? What's the American Way, anyway?
