Understatement in headlining, then a soft-peddling article follows.

Papering over a far from stellar record. Votes are votes. But not an overarching end in themselves. Best interests of the planet and the nation exist too.

UPDATE THOUGHT: Does this instance of coverage reflect unfavorably more on the outlet or the politician? With opinions having a range, many may believe the item is fair and balanced. Meaning what? Meaning "understatement" is in the eye of the beholder? Meaning you have to take an opinion poll before using the phrase "soft peddling?"

Amy is Amy. Strib is Strib. "Parochialism" has a Wikipedia entry. AND - The primaries will winnow out those trying to punch above their weight. But will The Party take notice and go into November 2020 with an actual heavyweight? It is early in the process.
