Presidential?

YouTube.

Another.

The Kavanaugh hearing. Fishing? Bailing out not with a bang but a whimper. No briefcase with names, no follow-up to innuendo? HUAC hearings were years ago.

UPDATE: It is proper to note the Kavanaugh hearing was sub-normal in several ways. But the Harris questioning of Kavanaugh was subject to only one "point of order type" of interruuption, which did not prevent Harris to confront the witness with any names she had cause to wish to suggest. Not that I remember, was the response. Without contradiction. Suggesting the question was a fishing attempt. The witness indicated he could review a list of names for certainty. No list was offered. The committee minority was correct to call into question the withholding of a snowstorm of documents until the last moment, that being an improper way to conduct government business.

FURTHER UPDATE: In a better light. But what position on tuition reform? Detail? Single Payer? Getting money out of politics? Open Secrets. Willie Brown. Vox on Harris-Brown past relationship. FOX, re same. Vox vs. FOX, you decide. Coverage, back then. Think what you choose, I think of the way Al Franken got jumped on by political opportunists, and a possible double standard. I think of hush money payments being "Michael Cohen" news. People's personal lives are private, unless one is a public figure.

FURTHER UPDATE: In line with her entertainment industry campaign donor pattern, her intro trailer looks as if Haim Saban's Power Ranger people put it together. Woo, woo. Feel Good. Depth of message not felt to be an essential element of defining the Harris effort? It seems so, first go at being one of the job seekers. Small wonder the trailer looks a bit as if the Harris team is stronger together. Turn some on, turn others off. It is part of marketing the brand. Where is this candidate on issues? Search the web, find out. Willie Brown stuff aside, some may think you will be who you've been, brand definition PR effort being thin and shallow, whereas track record often exists. Bernie and Warren are not investing much effort into redefining them distinct from their past.

FURTHER UPDATE: The opinion here is that Sen. Harris is a more promising and sincere a candidate than Sen. Gillibrand or Vice President Biden, despite critical factors which may exist regarding Sen. Harris. It is imperative that such a point be clarified. It is a matter of personal judgment, just as voting in a general election is. It is a matter of judgment and trust. Both are ultimately subjective. Trust here is strongest in Warren and Bernie. As people and with respect to their willingness to define policy positions consistent with their past actions and commitments. And, again, that is a judgment.
