You have got to be kidding me. Don't they have anything better to do than be officious?

of·fi·cious/Adjective
1. Assertive of authority in an annoyingly domineering way, esp. with regard to petty or trivial matters.

They must bust in early May
Orders from the D.A.
Look out kid
Don’t matter what you did
Walk on your tiptoes
Don’t try “No-Doz”
Better stay away from those
That carry around a fire hose
Keep a clean nose
Watch the plain clothes
You don’t need a weatherman
To know which way the wind blows

With the April showers comes lush green growth. But don’t let it get more than eight inches in Ramsey.

The Ramsey City Council April 26 unanimously approved amending its public nuisance ordinance and city code to change the maximum height of grass, weeds and noxious vegetation growth before it is considered a nuisance. Councilmembers David Jeffrey and Randy Backous were absent.

The city is changing the growth length from 12 inches to eight inches, said Police Chief Jim Way.

Changing the length to eight inches will help the police department better address the nuisance grass growth, he said.

If the city needs to come in and cut the grass, the shorter length is also easier to cut, Way said.

[...] Acceptable prairie restoration plant materials are exempt from the nuisance ordinance.

BOTTOM LINE: They appear to have nothing better to do.

BOTTOM LINE: Will they finally be cutting the summer weeds at Clown Center, or will it be "acceptable prairie restoration" to the town savants to continue to let the weeds grow there as has been the custom? Regardless, some government official will be showing up at your home to tell you your grass is "acceptable" or deficient. Go figure. They are "less government" and "property rights" Republicans; they say.

Jeffrey and Backous had the decency to not be there.
