More Zygi.

Strib photo, this link for related reporting.

Zygi surely has nice suits. When visiting a brownfield he shows no sartorial relaxation. The purple tie is a nice touch. The tugging at the jacket top button suggests Zygi's gained weight since having the suit tailored, back east.

He seems to be more concerned with events in our metro area than any other person from New Jersey. Good for Zygi. I did not carefully read the 12 page memorandum of agreement between Ramsey County and Zygi's corporate shell, but from a quick scan reading I did not see any dedication of part ownership of the team to a public trust, contrary to Green Bay which had more incentive - ownership incentive - to spend on Lambeau field.

It seems that if the local public ends up picking up over half the cost, it should own over half the asset. That would be the bigger half of the team, and of the land deal profit stream for the entire site as well as from the stadium net operating cash flows, i.e., the bigger half of the whole ball of wax. New Jersey folks, and their east coast tailors, probably think differently.

From that it appears Zygi [and county confederates] are poised to exploit ever square inch of land but for a corner peice and a strip or two. I wonder how that squares with earlier "open space" understandings. Here is a link to the 12-page memorandum of understanding, as posted by Ramsey County. Reporting is that not all officials within Ramsey County are mad-to-move plan boosters, without reservations or concerns. It's something of a divided house. Whose unqualified understandings are represented in the posted memorandum is an unclear question, to me.

Here is a link to reporting on the site, with images, source of the below map. I am unsure of the map designations, the Shoreview Post article text is vague that way, but the report includes an embedded Google Earth "fly-through." PiPress offers a proposed site fly-trough, this link. Unfortunately the Shoreview Post item is not bylined, so there is no named reporter to contact.

On the two "fly-through" videos, I have not reviewed either, so I've nothing to say.

Finally, on the fact that so far more promotional flak has been generated and fed to us mushroom people, with substantial facts remaining in the dark, so please remain skeptical and demanding of answers. See, e.g., this PiPress link from last week, which still is relevant on need for facts.
