Frank Vennes - Fifteen Years.

Karl Bremer's spirit rejoices. Avidor's blog specifically focused upon Vennes reports.

I expect DumpBachmann would have posted, except for Larry's heinous overreach. Also, with the focus of DB on a politician-retiree who in effect has dumped herself from office, the folks there have the last laugh with no need to crow.

So, shout a huzzah. Justice caught up with Vennes, although not fully until he is in the slammer serving his term.

This Ripple in Stillwater former post.

Recognition for Bremer's ongoing effort, earned and duly noted, Ripple again here and here. Bremer in those items included links to his award-winning reporting, so have a look, please.

Interested readers can do further web research. The Vennes role in the Petters fraud and its collapse has been well covered.

This Strib report on the sentence.

_____________UPDATE______________
Why? Because we like her? Not exactly. As with puppy housebreaking, we take them to a carpet mess-up, put their nose close, and say, "NO! Bad puppy." Dogs learn.

Avidor image. Click it to enlarge and read.

" ... confident of Mr. Vennes successful rehabilitation ..." our Rep. Bachmann says. Perhaps.

In 15 years.

"So why does Mr. Vennes need a pardon if he is so successful? So he can help more people than he does." That's what our CD6 Rep. wrote. The appearance is he swindled people. Little help flows from that. But he did contribute to Bachmann reelection campaigning, helping somebody that way. And, tardy to the n-th degree, she only now is giving the money back to the trustee for those Vennes swindled. Better late than never? I'd say, about the same. Not quite, possibly. Reaching a settlement for less than full amount asserted disarmed a 100% clawback of what was claimed.

The saying is "A day late and a dollar short."

Instead, many days/dollars. Figure who you're dealing with.

Hubbard sticks knife in Abeler. Who's feeding Hubbard, or who's Hubbard feeding?

Having announced as recently as June 18, Abeler's back is resembling a pin cushion, while he is still among his Republican friends. Hubbard likes McFadden? Why might that be?

Will it be all okay again with Big Stan, if Abeler quietly re-reckons and re-seeks the House seat?

We await seeing what Abeler ends up deciding.

An interesting name with a past, David Schultz, is cited by Big Stan's machine as story backgrounding and opinion.

Republican jockeying? Let's all choose up sides ... ?

Hamline touts Schultz, here. Schultz blogs, e.g., here and here.

Why would the Hubbard machine take interest in this savant (or source?) who seems possibly outside the tent? Is it that the Channel 5 folks truly believe where there is smoke there is fire? Or is there a clear the roads for McFadden mentality afoot? At all costs however you may, clear those roads? The sooner the better?

If Abeler opts toward the Minnesota house seat he's held for years, and Big Stan's minions quiet down, what should we infer? It seems McFadden fast-tracking would be evidenced, were such a hypothetical to unfold.

Reader help from Repubublican Party insiders is needed at this point. Comments are moderated, but those that are civil and on point get published.

Last: Where is Bill Cooper putting his political money bets these days?

___________UPDATE__________
In terms of Stanley H. the traffic-cop directing traffic, is the context of mention of McFadden here at all relevant?

__________FURTHER UPDATE_________
Obviously nobody would have invited me to any such discussions, but suppose McFadden-Coleman-Hubbard have written off McFadden caucus chances, but do not want the strongest caucus candidate to move on to a primary the McFadden  purse covets? Sidetrack Abeler now, as less ugly a thing than a bloodbath after caucusing? My tea leaves do not even give a probability range reading that way, but my gut says - likely.

__________FURTHER UPDATE_________
See how clued out I am on things GOP. I have to ask where others would know, is the Julie Rosen football fan kin by blood or marriage to this Tom Rosen fellow popping with the weasel?

We can only hope Digby has a cloud-free crystal ball on this thinking.

Here. Some show a social conscience and possess a moral compass. Some, not so. Expect the best from Ellison.

Politician money numbers reported at Residual Forces. It is good Andy made the effort to track down and report numbers.

Links here and here. It is good somebody did the needed work to do the report. Hat tip for it, to Andy. With luck, some of the "unavailable" info will filter in with Andy doing updating.

Skeptics not invited to the rose-colored glasses love in.

Monday the Super America store/gas station at Hwys 116 and 47 was robbed at gunpoint.

Eric Hagen of ABC Newspapers reporting, online here.

What struck me, at the foot of the report, a link here. Many a slip twixt cup and lip?

___________UPDATE__________
Checking again the Secretary of State's record for KONA Properties,  and noting Winkels listed there as registered agent, caused a check of Crabgrass archives, e.g., this link. Winkels appears involved in a spectrum of real estate activities. For some reason ...

google = "James F. Winkels" minnesota real-estate

... yielded his political contribution history, to Yanish once, Tinklenberg, twice. Here, here and here. It is not something pursued at length, but a curious google return listing nonetheless.

Tecnological standardization - Minnesota's judiciary requires that e-filing be in searchable Portable Document Format [.pdf].

Prior tolerance of a range of document types has been stricken. One single sensible and widely-used standard now is mandated. It makes sense. Presumably it is no intolerable burden on court staff to use such a universal format, and it probably makes things easier for the target audience - ultimate end users, judges and lawyers, to have a single, sensible way of accessing public data. It is a sound common sense choice.

Links to the order requiring uniform filing, and the implementation guide, (of course in pdf), respectively, here and here. See the judiciary home page, here, with this screen capture (click it to read):
