For those unfamiliar with the second clause -
search = Boundary Waters Minnesota sulfide mining issue
"Mine" being a flexible noun and verb.
UPDATE:https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/twin-cities-marathon-canoe-bwcaw/
FURTHER: The entire world should be outraged at the insultingly dismissive viewpoint of giant international mining conglomerates that want to endanger an absolutely unique and irreplaceable wildlife area for but a tiny share of their giant annual profits. People worldwide should write or email Minnesota's DNR to voice opposition to the narrow-minded profit-seeking of these greed heads. There should be an international uproar, Don't Do It
Your message to the DNR need not say more. If they are inundated with that message, they will figure it out. Trust Me. They are intelligent, but under intense greed-flexing pressure, and might even welcome greater issue attention:

- Questions?
- Call: 888-646-6367 (MINNDNR) or 651-296-6157
- Email: info.dnr@state.mn.us
Also, the Agency's contact page (although perhaps an inundation top-down might ring more)
A fitting message might be, "Don't permit greedhead sulfide mining anywhere near the Canoe Wilderness. The danger is unjustified because these giant mining companies mine worldwide, with less unique risk in other places, where people there will be equally vigilant. Just Say NO!"
If every reader of Crabgrass over the next few days into November were to take a few minutes to send the MN DNR an email they would have to recognize it is a worldwide concern to protect unique environments where alternative readily exist. It just makes sense.
FURTHER: One more, a cc of an email to DNR can reach another branch of state government:

A message there, separately, that a statute protecting the BWCAW and treaty indigenous water rights the federal government negotiated would help define the intent of the State of Minnesota.
Please take the time to do this if you believe it wise.
ALSO - If you wish to add the address online of this post

to show it is an individual grassroots suggestion that people do email, and not something bigger than that, that is okay.
