If you are uncertain of the place and scale of agriculture in Minnesota, ask the billionaires.
Strib, here. Three McMillians, Stanley Hubbard, Glen Taylor and Bill Austin are the top six; and Cargill is a privately held firm founded by the McMillian family. So, Bayer/Monsanto sell agrichem and seed, concentrating along with other big vendors the farmers' vendor pool, and Cargill controls elevators and the crop pricing market. So bookended between market powers, the rural population looks and wonders. And vexingly votes Republican, wondering more after such votes yield little if any benefit. Hubbard tells them be happy, keep up the good voting.
