I don't think so. Blogs have small readership, and aside from the Hegseth nomination there is not much said here against the Cabinet nominees.
Trump, I opposed and pitched for Harris, it was NOT a Reagan level landslide, and rather than being critical of Trump, posts have been more focused on JD, with an understanding Trump has one term, MAGA will be JD after that, and JD impresses me as far smarter and more open-minded than Trump. With an agenda, yes, but for now in a supplemental spot. Trump might not make a full term, age and health and statistics being what they are for him. JD is the future of MAGA. And for now it looks as if that base has a future. (The Hegseth part of the base, that's separate, JD having more cred.)
Also, in most posts here other sources and quotes are used, and they are for-profit outlets mainly while this blog is an old man's effort to be thoughtful and cogent. No threat, and basically an independent effort because neither of the two parties is progressive enough, as a personal view. As a Bernie Dem, everybody is important and human and deserving representation of their choice.
If JD when he gets his time to define himself were to advocate Medicare for All, (i.e., some form of healthcare as a right of every citizen and not a privilege), it would be, to me, an attention grabber. A reassessment instigator.
We'll see. With no intention to curb speech here beyond the election being over and it being time to govern; Trump won and that requires some deference. With one vote, in Minnesota, the election outcome hinged elsewhere and that's how the Republic is set up.
Everybody will see Trump's second term unfold, and each will have divergent opinions.
__________UPDATE__________
JD has credentials, a best seller book, Yale law and undergrad Ohio State in three years. An early-from-school run for Senate and winning. Venture capital multimillionaire status. An equally or more qualified spouse, which relates to personality as well as judgment.
With people like Peter Theil and Eric Weinstein saying they know him well and he's smart means smart people think JD's smart and I've no cause to think otherwise.
My view of JD, people who live in tents as unhoused/homeless don't vote, but JD cares about them anyway. It would be a great surprise if that's not true.
Trump says he himself is a stable genius, but if he goes after Garland and Smith as "enemies within" stable is a requirement to be a stable genius, and Trump's got grudges to settle so how he does it, or shows restraint, will be apparent once he's had his first hundred days.
How Trump keeps fair dealing with JD will also relate to stability and sagacity. Now, Biden still in office, only the campaigning rhetoric and nominations, and Susie Wiles as lead White House aide after the voting, is all we can go on. That and keeping DeSantis at arms length. Susie likely a part of that. Nobody can really fault keeping DeSantis at arms length and not an insider.
