Keeping up with Mitch Berg online can often - make that sometimes - be insightful. What he posts sometimes can be turned around, but that is the fun part of free speech.

Facially saying "sealed indictment" filed 8/18/21 - but obviously now unsealed and likely spreading among GOP web posting - the hat tip here is to Berg for posting a link to this. Re friend Gaetz the younger/Gaetz the elder/Gaetzes the target of a proposition.

Even though first aired months ago between Gaetz the younger and Tucker the FOX man, there is heavier cred now that a grand jury has agreed - there was an attempted shakedown within the proposition.

However, that is independent from whether Gaetz the younger knowingly had intercourse with a minor; or more precisely, had intercourse with a minor knowing she was younger than the Florida age of consent; and what is to be done about it. And it is independent of whether once in Congress you never have to pick up the check - i.e., Gaetz claiming he never paid for sex but he did take that trip with the hand doctor promoting mj legalization in Florida (under physician supervision) with alleged paid young ladies to keep things jolly. Ways and means, questionable.

Recall too, as Berg omits, (brevity is wit), there is a claim that Gaetz and his tax-collector buddy; now a cooperating federal witness; did an off hours entry into the tax collector's office and did some driver license hanky-panky; so it is not yet time to Paul Revere ride shouting "Gaetz innocent!" The what and therefore of what that cooperating witness might testify is currently uncertain; but who cannot guess? In a credibility match between those two, . . .

The then minor woman appears to be a cooperating witness too, so Gaetz is not off the hook. In a swearing contest any result may emerge especially if things go to a jury trial. This being NOT a glove/fit/acquit thing, but we'd best wait to not prematurely err in concluding any favored view is what will prevail.

So, for now, something shaking on shakedown street; (it used to be the heart of town). Transitioning -

More Berg, Unexpected Consequences - offering a three-panel snit-item against progressives

It’s a pretty domestic (if needlessly snide) representation of Big Populist Left’s entire approach to, well, pretty much everything:

Yeah, and it makes me think of that photo of the bunch of old-whiteTexas suits all making that anus gesture with their little hands after doing mischief. Mitch and I may differ in thought, in how we see an image, but the above three panel item speaks to everyone in a unique, personal manner. That is part of the beauty of imagery, and of the Internet.

Beauty aside, Berg's people own the Supremes, so this post ending is noting an impression, not crowing, since the wise rooster waits for dawn before crowing. Berg may have another Shot in the Dark bringing his people joy, but things will be as they evolve - not as Berg in a heavy Dem MN CD2 and me in a heavy GOP CD6 want things to be. It is a big nation still having surprises around corners.

_______UPDATE______

The point is not that Berg's posts are messed up and such, but rather that what he posts generally is well written and worth reading, but that is not the same as saying something to agree with, blindly. He is a Republican, so expect that slant to what he decides to post, and what his posts say. His site is one where what he features and ignores in his posting is itself informative and worth study. Yes, a cut above Alpha News, no doubt of that. More enjoyable to read than Powerline, which is boring propaganda, unimaginatively packaged. Berg has an imagination and more flair.

FURTHER: If you've only so much time to read Republican stuff, pick Berg over American Experiment. If you know the word turgid, there is a living, breathing example there.
