In a July 9 email Maureen Reed discloses $230,000 in fund raising for the MN 6 Congressional race. Tarryl Clark remains silent.
The Google News screenshot shows stories a search returned. You can click and enlarge the image to read it. However, the links are not active there. To link and read a story, open this link, (also, each link is given separately, later in this post).
The Reed campaign website is still only a generic fund raising - contact - email subscription shell without any "news" or other items. The "full campaign site is currently under development and will launch in the near future." That's as it was some time ago.
The Reed story link is here, and the $230,000 figure at this early campaign stage is significant. While impressive, it is not an insurmountable amount nor anywhere near to the cost of running to election day.
A popular new entrant should be able to raise comprable or surpassing funds as caucus time approaches.
At that $230,000 level I expect the Elwyn Tinklenberg people are combing the FEC disclosure to see who Reed supporters are. I have not made the effort. Those two seem akin Blue Dog Democrats with roots in the Independence Party - Tinklenberg getting his only statewide office by IP appointment, Reed having run as IP Lt. Governor candidate last cycle.

There is renewed talk of Tarryl Clark entering the race; the Clark links in the screenshot being here and here. She'd be the only moderate DFL'er seeking to challenge Bachmann, if she decides to run.
