With Roberts Trump could turn the car keys over and golf even more and think of deals for him and family. Let Kevin do the dirty work he seems so eager to do.
HOWEVER, think of this. Who, really is Kevin Roberts? Would he give up the bigger Heritage Foundation/Heritage Action paycheck, to take on harder work? Is he that type? Or is he one to bloviate and advance to a comfortable well-paid Heritage life, one Tucker Carlson would likely take on, if offered?
Speculation? Yes. Of course. I do not believe for one minute Kevin Roberts would take the offer, if offered. I believe it more likely Trump would offer the VP spot to Roberts; despite Trump saying he knows nothing about Roberts or Project 2025, (and don't ever say it's his bastard baby despite it looking so much like him).

Ensconced where he can pontificate about immunity this and that, and corporations being better set up political "persons" than humans, why would he take on the risk?
The Roberts boys share a kinship of outlook, while not being blood related.
