As a Democrat, I look at claims Ellison, as MN AG on a budget from a divIded State House, was arguably lax in prioritizing fraud detection. That was setting priorities among available personnel. I look at the Republican guy's portfolio, where personal interests might affirmatively influence professional choices, if elected, and I fear personal pecuniary decision making over serving the public interest as a more likely problem than any oversight problem re a small sub-community bloc of bad actors trying to game the system, which happened.. My wealth at stake vs others' can bias who an AG sues, or which suits he'd join or decline. Divestiture answers the conflicting interests question.
