Mainstream media. Bless their priorities. Their pushing lies as debatable, ignoring the living truth. They share Mike Pence's pain. [UPDATED]

These Crabgrass posts are done for screens other than phones, so if the phone version breaks, sorry about that. Mike Pence first:

Only a blind hypocrite would argue Israel is NOT a racist state. By post-WWII invasion the Zionists took land where others were happily living. Truman in 1948 said it was okay because he had Jewish voters in the nation, no Arab voters. That was the start.

Last Century, they conquered by war Golan Heights and land east to the Jordan River, and control things there still under martial law military occupation. The rest of the world would punish them via the UN if it were not for continuous U.S. Security Council veto power being exercised for Israel. They are colonizing the latter seized land, via "settlements," a/k/a "needing" Lebensraum. They are an Apartheid state. If any Palestinian resistance happens it is met with overwhelming greater retaliatory force. Those in occupied territory have no autonomy, a puppet Palestinian Authority has been imposed and exists there to govern, and they expand "settlements" with impunity. The Palestinians are getting shafted again and again, Greater Israel being the Zionist aim. Anti-Zionism is not anti-Jews, so called "antisemitism" where the Arabs in fact are Semites, check that out. Anti-Zionism and its ongoing expansionist conduct is being against conduct of those with power to control and destroy another powerless people.

Moreover, it is NOT our major worry. It is, on the other side of the world. Closer to Ukraine than to us, and Tucker's discourse with Pence applies to the Israeli aggression issue as much as it applies to Tanks for Ukraine.

It is sad that one elected to Congress, Pramila Jayapal, a very decent human being, cannot tell a simple truth replete with full objective clarity without being immediately castigated by a unified watchdog team of pro-Zionists propagandists. First Amendment sad. We live in troubling times where shadow issues proliferate while four billion dollars annually is given by the U.S. government in weaponry to Israel, by our government, while people here are living in tents in our urban cores and being periodically evicted to move their tents elsewhere, that being known as "dealing with the homelessness issue."

We treat our homeless much as Israel treats its conquered Arabs.

It is obscene.

UPDATE: Saying so don't make it so. Links here and here.

The Big Lie is a longstanding propaganda tool. What are the actual facts? Doesn't matter, the Lie controls. It is sad to see.

FURTHER UPDATE: Freedom of opinion is basic. Those politicians, however motivated, who say Israel is not a racist state hold a respected right to say so. "However motivated" being important.

The collective will and pressure of the Israel lobby is a truth. Caving into it, or being in agreement aside from caving in, happens.

Of interest, academic freedom being - in the thoughts of many - a major necessity for a civilized future for our nation; it can be considered in the light of the ISRAEL QUESTION.

Readers who are interested, the U.Washington gave back a five million dollar gift from the Beneroya widow, Jack Beneroya having been a Seattle area property developer successful in business park development. Successful enough to have built up a following in Seattle's Jewish community, and to reach a multi-million dollar fortune before his death. His dying was a loss for the entire community, but was felt more among those active in his religion. He was an admirable man for what he accomplished.

The story of the gift, the "riders" wanted, the sorting out of things is an informative story. Links about the situation are held here to two, although the story attained extensive local coverage, and some national attention.

The links speak for themselves. Compare that intelligent academic level politics-resistent settlement, done by thoughtful adults without any political whoring dimension toward any voting bloc, decently sorted out the level of push and shove over Israel being an apartheid nation that is at issue these days.

Truth and freedom of opinion are the beacons. Falsehood and propagandist intimidation are forces to snuff out the light.

This is of record. As is this. Should we citizens be proud of the latter? Is it something that inspires respect? Alpha News, from its perspective did note:

Nine Democrats vote against resolution condemning antisemitism

The resolution passed on Tuesday, with 217 Republican votes and 195 votes from Democrats. By Mary Margaret Olohan -

[...] Nine Democrats voted against HR 57, “Expressing the sense of Congress supporting the State of Israel”: Jamaal Bowman of New York, Cori Bush of Missouri, Andre Carson of Indiana, Summer Lee of Pennsylvania, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, Delia Ramirez of Illinois, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan.

The resolution passed on Tuesday, with 217 Republican votes and 195 votes from Democrats.

“The State of Israel is not a racist or apartheid state,” says the resolution, introduced by Republican Texas Rep. August Pfluger. “Congress rejects all forms of antisemitism and xenophobia, and the United States will always be a staunch partner and supporter of Israel.”

In a statement following the vote, Pfluger emphasized that “Israel is our most important partner in the Middle East.”

I am proud that those nine were voted into the House. The more independent minded Reps there, the better. That even arguably goes to the Freedom Caucus, since a spectrum of belief beats everybody marching in lockstep singing jingoistic songs, or songs aggrandizing some other nation, in lockstep.

Omar, one of those listed progressives, represents one district over from where I live. My rep is less progressive, MN6, where, however, I can honestly say the current rep is a step forward from his predecessor.
