Do you believe this Republican HD 35A wannabe has a policy position on Net Neutrality? Do you think she understands Net Neutrality? Do you believe she would say President Trump and Ajit Pai know best or they would not be where they are, each with his stellar background; so who would we average citizens be to question the Trump-Pai shared vision and wisdom? We have to guess since it is not one of her "Priorities."

Andy Hillebregt has been active in District 35 DFL circles for years. Bill Vikander is running a first candidacy, and new blood is always welcome within the DFL in general, and in District 35, in particular.
Having spoken to Andy and Bill, it is reassuring to know either would be a sound general election candidate if endorsed in caucusing, and each should be committed to abide by caucus endorsement.
Caucusing begins, precinct caucus level, Feb. 6 [see two top sidebar items]. With two sound options DFL caucus-goers should work to familiarize themselves with both Bill and Andy; (informed voting always being best). The above CFB links serve as a place to start: links and contact info being available there for each of them.
A third DFL candidate CFB filing exists, but having not spoken with Balaski no opinion can be offered on this person's first candidacy.

A conjecture: either of the three DFL choices would have a better policy position and understanding of net neutrality risks and benefits, than Benz. Setting the bar at that level seems fair to everybody.

This being as fine a place as any to mention:
Net Neutrality is a clear statewide concern. Rural broadband has been a DFL goal for some time, as a statewide economic benefit. Imagine the impact on a farming community if things such as growing season weather expectations, commodity pricing and hedging, crop insurance, grain elevator info, etc., were to be roadblocked or bottlenecked beyond the access policies of the actual involved content providers. Or that substantial pay-to-play costs against profits were to be insinuated into and against the needs of farm families to have fair access to vital business sites and information.The entire range of agricultural business entities from Cargill to the smallest would seem to have aligned interest in keeping Net Neutrality strong and entitling. With rural areas more sparsely populated with longer driving distances more the norm, having the net and wisely using it seemingly would be as strong or a stronger need as in denser urban or suburban environs.
Net Neutrality should be a cross-party-lines goal, but for the Jan. 2017 Pai appointment to the FCC proving to have so far been an impediment to such a shared recognition.

The Benz CFB candidate filing lists two "co-residents" of that Anoka P.O. Box 33, along with Benz herself, so it must be crowded in there.
With that P.O. Box stuff the implication is out of District persons, "outside agitators" if you will, afoot on behalf of Ms. Benz.

Who are they and where are they from? Presumably they are Minnesotans, from the respective 651 and 612 phone area codes - unlike the Benz 763 in-district area code.
Start with Johathan Fisher, since it is the more common last name. Likely not this one. Nor this one. Eliminate the obits from this websearch, and forget about the for-a-fee "locator" sites . . .
Searching on . . . okay, a hot one: CFB 2013 registration, treasurer again, Jonathan Victor Fisher, different phone number, same webmail = Bingo: Ham Lake resident per 2013 = out of district.
Next, Alley Waterbury: named, this Facebook page - yes, transgender demonization band-wagoning, so it must be the one:

[update - note the 651-324-8620 phone is as listed on the Benz CFB page - so same person, outside of HD 35A, outside of CD6 even - an outside agitator]
That is about it, Benz and her closest campaign helpers. "Alt-right" used in the Strib item's headlining. There is a Ryan Waterbury listed as a Libertarian Party official, but degree of kinship with Ally is not known. Zoominfo lists two Allison Waterbury entries. Whether either is the Mandy Benz campaign manager is unclear. Nothing was found indicating any "Ally Woodbury" at an address within HD 35A (other than P.O. Box 33).
