Do we need this baggage from Bushco days? Of course not, it insults the notion of a free society - free of Police State Surveillance. It is there to intimidate, to discourage dissent. It is highly offensive and highly unAmerican.
President Obama, dismantle this nonsense and reduce waste by sending the bureaucrats behind this offensive situation into the private sector, unemployed.
I see the one item is tied to the name "Paul D. Wolfowitz." A discredited warmonger.
GET RID OF IT ALL AS OFFENSIVE TO FREEDOM AND TO CITIZENS HAVING A SENSE OF BEING FREE AND EXEMPT FROM UNDUE GOVERNMENT SPYING UPON THE PEOPLE. IT IS A REFORM STEP THAT IS OVERDUE.

Anon. - What is your net worth and how has it changed over the last year and a half, while there has been continuity you can count of from Bushco domestic repressiveness under guise of fighting "terror" as a never ending war, and Obama continuing that and changing not a jot; and while the Goldman Sachs individual, Paulson, crashed the economy with the help of the Fed, while the pair bailed out Wall Street and then Obama, keeping Gates and not downscaling any foreign intrigue and appointing the head of the NY Fed to take over from Paulson and taking on Summers as lead economist - all continuing the dominion of Goldman and others who tanked things in the last Bushco year or year and a half? Are you better off, or not? If you own a business how well is it doing? Are you a happy and free person? Are y9u happy with how the dollar has changed compared to other currency and gold so that even if your holdings have not lost much in dollar value they are worth far less? Do you want fair changes, or not? If not, why not? Have you been one of the prospering few? Are you instead totally ignorant, or merely a happy tool satisfied with thrown table scraps, a rich-man's house dog, easily replaced by another when you age beyond usefulness?

I do not defend the two party system, I only try to figure how best to live under it. Both parties are owned and serving interests of elites; while offering rhetoric to chase voting coalitions they then, after elections, do not serve; and making promises that after elections, they do not keep.
It is a world of chasing lesser evils. And of exploitation and false language such as "Patriot Act" for domestic repression measures.
