This post is written before reading any online news, so it could be a friendly one.
Clear skies, the yard covered in fallen oak leaves, some trees have not fully cleared. Rakes are in the garage. Fall leaf raking - not enjoyable but not a super burden - at 81 y old, it would be fine enough to have another 10 years of the burden of fall leaf raking. Or that's the zen in mind to go do it.
Part of the homesite are woods behind the house, where a big leaf pile has accumulated, and it is due for enlargement. On occasion over winter deer have overnighted on the leaf pile since it's warmer and softer than bare ground. One Christmas Day there were an adult pair sleeping there.
Troubles of the world aside, it's good to not yet have croaked. So leaf raking to do, but for real. Not in the law firm sense of leaf raking.
