This is a United States Senator. They're letting insincere bimbos in these days? Republicans judged this Katie Britt fit to give their rebuttal speech, after Biden's SOTU. Eighteen minutes of how many ways can you pose as if you know something, in a green dress in a kitchen, without a KitchenAid mixer or Kurig coffee thing on the counter. Who is this besides a cross-wearing person needing to re-enroll in acting school?

Watch and marvel - not what you say but how you say it.

A screen capture. Good teeth.

The fact that Tommy Tuberville is the other Senator from Alabama is no excuse for Katie Britt being so bad. Yes, keeping a level playing field, but, come on, be reasonable.

One thought, I don't follow stuff closely enough, perhaps Tuberville was o-lineman Wesley Britt's college football coach. I asked MS CoPilot and it was not fate for it to be so:

Wesley Britt played under Mike Shula, who was the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide during that time. Shula led the team from 2003 to 2006 and was instrumental in shaping Britt’s college football career.

Aside from that, watch the SOTU rebittal video and marvel how bad the Republican opponent  - Mo Brooks - must have been for Katie Britt to have won (the Dem candidate was a black man, and it was an election in Alabama).

Back to Tuberville, he tried to praise Britt's performance, with her as the junior Alabama Senator to his seniority. He tried. Others less so, making the Crabgrass thing look like piling on. However, Crabgrass starts with the CSPAN item itself, not a commentary first (well, the headline, ...) whereas other outlets did not link.

In his address Biden used his bully pulpit effectively, attacking Republicans in a fiery speech and inviting a strong response. But Britt’s speech, delivered with overt theatricality, oscillating in tone between the wholesome and the wholly horrific, did not land well even in her own party.

Charlie Kirk, founder of the far-right Turning Point USA youth group, said: “I’m sure Katie Britt is a sweet mom and person, but this speech is not what we need. Joe Biden just declared war on the American right and Katie Britt is talking like she’s hosting a cooking show, whispering about how Democrats ‘dont get it’.”

That pointed to widespread confusion over the setting for such a figure to give such an important speech: a kitchen.

Biden was accommodating, not critical

If more analysis is felt needed, readers can do their own search, however, watch again the CSPAN post of the Britt speech - do you need more to read, or has her presentation explained itself?

The United States Senate, not any lesser venue, and the voice Republicans chose to present --- something. Unimpressive is a gentle word for what we saw. And, why no background kitchen machinery which every mom should have? A little phony, that bare background kitchen counter? Aren't you glad your mom was not like this one?

Closing on a more positive note, March 8 was International Women's Day.

Well, bad yes, (the SOTU response); but not so bad, BS but a better delivery, a day or two later - first, DailyBeast -

Altogether ignoring the brutal reviews, Fox & Friends—which often serves as a narrative tone-setter for the rest of the conservative cable giant—did their level best on Friday morning to prop up Britt’s performance.

“Great job in your delivery,” co-host Brian Kilmeade said to the Alabama Republican, further lauding “the structure of the speech, especially because you had to adjust at the last minute to what the president would say along with the changing dynamics in the chamber.”

Britt claimed her speech centered around “things that we talk about around this kitchen table every single day,” and it presented a tonal shift to Biden’s “divisive” and “angry” address. “I thought the anger and bitterness, what seemed to be some type of rage, was unbecoming of the president of the United States,” she declared. “And then, unfortunately, he used none of his time to bring America together.

Biden, unlike Trump, is not laser focused on bringing America together? She did not say that, thankfully, but left Trump's name out to solely trash Biden.

So routing to FOX/friends: video. Not looking as bad as in the SOTU fiasco. And, sure enough, FOXer's opening comment - great job, lady. Interestingly, they did screen sound bites of somo of SOTU garbage time. Not much. (Would you screen much of it, if a FOX tool?)

Honestly, being worked by FOX minds, Britt was not nearly as awful as per the response thing, but still, same person, same limitations.

So fire whichever consultants convinced the bimbo Senator to show super-bimboness in the response thing, while she showed via FOX an ability toward cogency, not getting there, but close. Watch the FOX video, see a real difference.

While clearly not a GOP friendly site, a SOTU commentary thread did some analysis of the Britt presentation - EMPTYWHEEL, here.
