CRAZY EYES, ALIVE AND UNALTERED: Minnesota's Guv signs executive order curtailing gay conversion therapy - cutting off the free money those "practitioners" got from public funding of their mischief. And - what do you know, chasing the story, who shows up?

The CBS_Minnesota item, "Gov. Walz Signs Executive Order Restricting Conversion Therapy In Minnesota" By Caroline Cummings - July 15, 2021 at 5:31 pm - was the item that started this thing. It made me think of the Michele Bachmann heydays, when Marcus Bachmann (with his remote learning PhD from some place) whose clinic was said to be delving into gay conversion "therapy" while denying he was pushing hard on any such agenda.

The CBS-MN item ended:

The Minnesota Family Council, a Christian group, called the order a “direct attack” on individual choice in health care.

That group favoring the discredited practice as "individual choice in health care," per a web search, yielded this hit:

While the MFC group is not one I'd allay with, Mike Pence has lower standards, and sucks up to those in whom he sees an alliance benefit:

The real story at the core of this post, is what sniffing around the RWW (right wing watch) site uncovered - this noteworthy embedded video, to this RWW item, from Jan. 7, 2021 - the day after Trump's DC rally speaking and the ensuing trespassing of the Capitol by inflamed idiots.

Taking a still image from the video, the former Presidential candidate who outdid Tim Pawlenty's own Pres. attempt, in Iowa, in all her "what's wrong with her eyes" glory:

Amazingly some Americans actually voted for and sent money to this born-again moron who is, now in 2021, spouting "Them left-wing provocateurs, ya betcha. Not Trumpsters, who were rally ready, but benign on Jan. 6" -- family outing benign, as the lady says - so believe it?

She makes Mike Pence look polished and cogent, which is not easy to do.

UPDATE: A MinnPost report from years ago, titled, "Gay ‘conversion therapy’: The danger of letting bias rather than evidence guide medical practice," mentioned Marcus Bachmann's clinic's mischief, defended by the clinic's boss because it was patient elective and not coerced "treatment." Both items - Worth reading.

We have become more civilized about gender orientation than back then, which was not so long ago that we can feel complacent about according respect to people's gender activity and identity rights. Leave well enough alone, for now, but be vigilant because the Minnesota Family Council remains firmly set in its counter-productive agendas. Mike Pence seems poised for something between now and November, 2024.
