Sorensen at Bluestem Prairie reports of an event cancellation affecting a Mr. John G. and event organizers;

Here, event sponsorship publishing by email:

Worldview Weekend's 5 City/5 Day speaking tour, which included UTT's President John Guandolo, had significant success in Des Moines, Iowa last night where nearly 200 people attended and learned about the threat Islam's sharia and the Muslim Brotherhood's Islamic Movement pose to the civilized world. . . .

In Minneapolis, the jihadis and Marxists were converging. Since UTT is aware that some in law enforcement in Minneapolis are hostile to UTT's work, the decision was made not to go forward with this event because the safety of the attendees could not be insured.

The Good Lord favored Mike Pence's pony/dog show with finer weather, and it is hard to know the inferences to draw from differences. At a bet this Guandolo chap lacked a spiffy big airplane with official looking badging and color scheme also; again, the Lord seemingly favoring the most pious.

Whether amounts of Mercer family money were invested in the Guandolo situation is unclear. If so, it was hushed, although don't call any such chance "possible hush money." It would be "possibly hushed money." And they differ. A lawyer named Cohen could explain all that better than I might. Itinerant lecturers on arcane topics must have a harder time than Billy Graham had promoting his brand, again, favorship of the most pious seeming at play as the general principle, Job being a temporary exception that proves the rule. Presumably Guandolo only suffered a cancellation, with no painful boils or nattering neighbors to test him or his agenda, or his loyalty to it.

A closing quote within the Sorensen item:

Last year, Guandolo got in a physical altercation with a Minnesota sheriff at a law enforcement conference in Reno, Nevada. The altercation, which later led to a restraining order against Guandolo, stemmed from him accusing Sheriff Richard Stanek of working “with jihadis in the community.” The charges against Guandolo have since been dropped. The events, however, sparked the National Sheriff’s Association (NSA), whose leadership had previously endorsed UTT’s courses, to rescind its support of Guandolo.

Since the scuffle and retraction of the NSA’s endorsement, Guandolo’s law enforcement trainings appear to have slowed down significantly. Because of this, UTT has taken on more civilian-focused seminars. This speaking tour exemplifies that shift.

Why does that make me think of Marley and the Clapton sheriff-deputy cover, where Marley's Rastafarian devotion likely was more pious than any Clapton beliefs at the time, yet Clapton raked in all the money. Singing must be under different holy rules than politicking or lecturing on stuff to audiences in tune with the stuff being lectured at them. Mysterious ways.

Likely the more pious, since they got the trophy:

A more pious goalie?
