I recall from a few years ago, I believe it was after a County Board candidates forum sponsored by the LWV, (Allison Lister being the District 1 challenger then), in a conversation with Matt Look he advised me that Darren Lazan/Landform had three deals in Ramsey Town Center, A SuperValue gas station, Wiser Choice relocated, and McDonalds - all along the stretch of the rerouted Sunwood between Coborns and the traffic circle, the area between the Sunwood reroute and Armstrong. I believe Matt had the mistaken impression these were done deals. My recollection is the public announcement of there being earnest money contracts was being made in Ramsey, in parallel to the LWV session in Anoka.
It's interesting that the Armstrong - Sunwood reroute stretch Look had mentioned remains vacant. I believe Matt kept in touch with Darren Lazan in that timeframe. And with Mayor Bob Ramsey. There was an airplane ownership situation involving Matt, Darren, and Mike Jungbauer, Mike having been a Landform employee/associate around that time.
