In a comment to the earlier post about the Freedom Club's hit piece mailing, I speculated that Harold Hamilton might be involved, but he is not on that donor list.

This Freedom Club operation has maintained ongoing filings with the FEC since 1996, with this screen capture showing an origination with Robert P. Cummins (and leopards do not change their spots, not one iota), with Cummins giving an operating address in Eden Prairie then, before the operation's moving to live in a Champlin P.O. Box.

This earliest FEC filing screen capture:

Picking Champlin fits, a town that is a speed trap looking for a conscience. The town reminds me of Werner Herzog's film, "Aguirre, The Wrath of God," where a lost disoriented Conquistador band found itself floating on a raft down an Amazon tributary, and passed a native tribe on shore. Don Aguirre or another Spaniard asks a translator what are they shouting, the translator replying, per the English subtitling of the German film's language, "They're saying 'Meat, meat, the river brings us meat.'" Champlin has a comparable the-highway-brings-us-meat attitude to "policing" Highway 169, and ask Dennis Berg if you do not believe me.

Enough about Champlin. That donor list appears to be a bunch of no-names, readers correct that impression if wrong, and if those are the big-time movers and shakers of Minnesota, Minnesota is hurting.

Freedom Club has its website with a glitzy youtube video with bothersome lead-in music then showing a bunch of stuffed shirts behind the sling-some-mud-at-Abeler mailing, in the video the empty suits - well tailored each and every one - meeting and greeting, watch it and see the respect those folks and their mailers deserve. That is, respect from ordinary real people not in expensive suits feeling self important when swarming.

All the usual suspects. Not to be confused with The Queens Freedom Club, that's a different group. Although both groups seem a little full of themselves.

Quite a bit full of themselves actually, and watch the MN Freedom Club summer event of the two videos, instead of taking my word for it.

Behind Aplikowski, not likely supportive of Zach Phelps' NORML candidacy. Lots of patio images, folks holding glasses or having glasses on their table area. No splifs. Not these folks. And the one fellow, while golfing I was recruited ...

..............................................

For these Freedom Club folks I am reminded of how Janis Joplin sang in Kris Kristofferson's "Bobby McGee," i.e., "Freedom's just another word for nothing else to do ...". My take on Freedom Club. Nothing else to do besides mudslinging. And when not slinging mud at the likes of Jim Abeler, his suits are not ... us, he sometimes lets his hair grow, they are busy making videos of themselves. A perp list, online here. And did I say, full of themselves?

__________UPDATE_____________
That piece of work they did attacking Abeler, they had an image of Abeler with hundred dollar bills all around. Jim is Jim and these folks project themselves, in their videos, as the actual and cordial big bill players; as in the pot calling the clean kettle black.

Go figure. Aplikowski gets the hit-piece help from the big dollar players, so who is the GOP candidate of the people in the SD35 special election GOP side of things?

________FURTHER UPDATE_________
Besides fat cats sling mud as a bottom line theme, on that above noted donor list, none of those people are SD35 residents.

As to the state PAC the Freedom Clubsters maintain, that second PAC might have big donors from within SD35. But the general appearance, absent reader correction if in error, is that fat cats from outside the district want to bias our voting.

That is an unusual version of Minnesota Nice.

__________FURTHER UPDATE__________
Reader help is requested here. Who, what individual human or Citizens United type of "person" holds bulk postage permit 4190? It is the vehicle under which the anti-Abelier hit piece from the Champlin P.O. Box folks was mailed. Is it merely an innocent print/mailing shop, or a politically charged entity or person? A comment identifying the permit holder would be most appreciated.

__________FURTHER UPDATE____________
As a closing loose end to tie up, two highly obnoxious Freedom Club online videos have been linked to already. But that is one short of the crap they've put online the third item being a hit piece against day care workers organizing for a better tomorrow where they deserve it, often, after all, enduring the job task of dealing with somebody else's baby's soiled diapers. Anybody doing that for a living deserves caritas, not Freedom Club bullshit propaganda against them.

This link. Those people and their smugness and bags of money should not be able to propagandize any cogent human into their camp, except for camp followers.
