RAMSEY - Expecting consistency from Colin McGlone?

Without any public comment quoted from Colin McGlone, Ward 2 councilmember, Sakry of ABC Newspapers reported:

During its last meeting of the year, the Ramsey City Council approved new contracts for three employee groups.

The [Ramsey] council voted 6-1 Dec. 13 on the three one-year contracts for its America Federation for State, County and Municipal Employee (AFSCME) union, its police sergeants and police patrol officers.

Councilmember Colin McGlone voted against the contracts.

For the 27 AFSCME employees, the 2012 contract will give them a 2 percent cost of living adjustment.

This is the first increase any of the employee groups has had since 2009, said Colleen Lasher, administrative services.

There was only that one mention of McGlone in the item Sakry posted online. I find it curious that McGlone supported in the past giving the entire council, each and every member, extra money for being - putting themselves in as the only members - on the HRA, money beyond the stipend for serving on Council. I believe he accepts that additional cash for himself and family, each and every paycheck. And has accepted it, regularly, since it was allocated.

I guess all the versions of the old saying, atttributed over time to several preeminent pundits, to the effect that consistency is the hobgoblin of petty minds must stand as proof that our Ward 2 McGlone is beyond such pettimindedness and such a hobgoblin.
