Mandy Benz makes a campaign filing change, one I would say is for the better. One showing her as attentive.

Sorensen at Bluestem Prairie reports of Cindy Pugh with links, and this screen capture. In the Facebook screen capture Alley Waterbury seems to have hearsay worry about Republican precinct caucus attendees, possible ones, of the Islamic faith.

Waterbury was the campaign chair of the Mandy Benz campaign for the Minnesota House District 35A seat. Compare an earlier screen capture, CFB candidate filing, with one from this morning:

Jan. 26, 2018
This morning, Feb. 1, 2018

This is anything but an insignificant change. Ecclesiastes 3:5

In parallel, Republican Party leadership appear intent that their precinct caucusing appears free of any religion-based bias or hate:

Readers are again urged to visit the Bluestem Prairie link given now and at the opening of this post. It's linking and text provide late-breaking information, as much actual evidence of things as any reader might want.

BOTTOM LINE: The appearance is Islamaphobia may be afoot in some Republican quarters and that Benz has made an affirmative step to avoid any claim that way by implication. And to distance herself from any web presence of Alley Waterbury being attributed to her, by implication. That, or they had a spat. Give Benz the benefit of the doubt.

Hegseth. Islam going unmentioned. Yet --Compare and contrast. We vs. they need not be constrained to faith-based demonization and demagoguery. More virulent that way, perhaps, but Pete shows extensive applicability while at least not claiming all those coming into the nation messes up the climate. Climate change on any basis seems absent from Pete's world view.

_________FURTHER UPDATE__________
Well, the Benz casting away of a stone takes on a larger dimension, thanks to Sorensen; this must-read link, dated Jan.31, 2018. Grifterism has no friend. And Sorensen both has sources and a tenaciousness that has gained Bluestem Prairie blogging awards. Sorensen links here.

Crabgrass sluthing efforts earlier were less productive. The UPDATE thread, this post, did, however, note a now proven ironic "bio"

Alley Waterbury:

Former actress model mother of four daughters and is currently writing a book and building a speaking company to mentor and inspire young girls and women around the world.

With no apparent cause to doubt the Sorensen sleuthing, mothers might be advised to watch out who mentors their offspring, and the speaking company ambition likely will be finding a home outside of Minnesota.

Mandy, your slip is showing.

At least there is a learning curve. Mandy Benz acted correctly in altering the campaign "chair" situation as she discerned that the fan loaded up. It was done quietly between Jan. 26, and today, Feb. 1. That suggests last-minute adaptation and a failure to pin down from the start "who you are dealing with," but again, cut Benz some slack. How her HD 35A ambitions fare from this point on may be cause to want to attend Republican HD 35A caucusing. But the DFL still beckons more loudly.

HAT TIP TO SORENSEN.

___________FURTHER UPDATE______________
To pin things down entirely someone, perhaps at HD 35A Republican caucusing should ask Mandy Benz if this is the former "chair" of her campaign or is there some identity error:

Yes, by now this link is cumulative, but it does suggest a basis for this "Alley Waterbury" being a sponsor of rallies for Trump, there appearing to be something of a kindred chutzpah and worldview.
