Some guy named John Heinrich got republicans to offer him HD 35A endorsement.

From his facebook page he seems a suckup. Daudt, Wehlan, Emmer - those are not outstanding coattails, yet he grabs on anyway. On issues he seems a regular republican clown. His about page shows he's got lots of kids and caught a big fish. He is a Marine Iraq veteran who knows asphalt and mentions no university.

Until now, in wondering what mischief the local republicans were up to after watching the Riley-Theis LWVABC forum on QCTV, and doing a web search, it went under my radar. That's how important it is. He seems unspectacular and should get many republican votes.

He is not Mandy Benz. That can be said about him. Moreover, he is not Peggy Scott. That also is worth mentioning. Asphalt is better than makeup.

UPDATE: The GOP chair has coattails too.

FURTHER: Semper fi, a brotherhood, but coattails? You decide.

Heinrich on facebook - with Wayne Buchholz

Maria Buchholz on facebook - with Wayne and an associate

"Graduated from Meadow Creek Christian School, 1998."

FURTHER: Buchholz spouses' photo is online per a 3/12/14 MinnPost report on Safe Schools/anti-bullying opposition. (Voters will judge.)

FURTHER: The candidate's CFB filing indicates "Emily Wiggin," Rogers, MN as campaign chair. Not too much of a web presence per that name. Reader help needed via a comment, but there is this Emily Wiggin Minnesota web presence, in tune with some aspects Heinrich reveals of himelf. That item mentions an AMTC thing, presumably the one with online presence, here and here. This is tenuous, and if the guesses are in error, please leave a comment.

The same CFB document identifies "Brian Herda, Andover" as campaign treasurer. That dude appears to have MFC grounding, for which some might forgive him. Lackluster is a term that comes to mind. This:

Herda has 28 years of professional experience in the financial services industry and currently works for Voya as the director of ceded reinsurance. He is a Minnesota native who graduated from Bethel University in 1991 with a bachelor of arts degree in accounting. In 2008, he obtained his CPA certification."

Fortunately, he lost.

Voters judged.

Mix Dominionism with mediocrity, and what do you get? Voters will judge.

A bunch. And please, is that the same Emily Wiggin chairing the man's campaign as wanting crowdsourcing money from others for repeated Chicago visits by her for "AMTC" stuff? Presumably so, but Herda was easier to pin down for a certainty. There is this, a shuttered "501c3 non-profit ministry" undated as to the "Created May 23, 2017" on the Wiggin crowdsourcing plea.

FURTHER: State GOP Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan said “there is no religious test” to be a Republican. That can look sometimes as a comment honored in the breach. By too many.
