consultants are sandburs

While large corporations make record-breaking profits and top CEOs earn about 335 times more an hour than the average worker, millions of Americans are trying to survive on totally inadequate wages. The situation has become so absurd that there is not a single state in our country where a full-time minimum-wage worker can easily afford a one-bedroom apartment. The current $7.25-an-hour federal minimum wage is a starvation wage. It must be raised to a living wage.

The headline is an excerpt from a Bernie Sanders and Patty Murray authored item carried in the "Commentary" section of Strib online. This link.

That mainstream media is picking up the story may be the news in it. All the rest, the fact of the indecency of the level of the federal minimum wage, indecency and inadequacy, is already well known. Especially in the bottom income part of the 99%, that factual truth weighs heavy every hour every day.
