ESTABLISHMENT DEMS: Are they really in cut off nose, spite face mode? Do they really want to alienate the young and the suffering? Are they really at war with Berniecrats and Bernie? Or do they feel the war is being brought to them and fear for their money?

A skeptic against establishment Dems can be a useful source of web links.

One such, hat tip withheld, has noted troubling things that appear to not be fake news; not at all, and more troubling on that score.

Observer, back in Feb 2017, "Establishment Democrats Order Sanders to Fall in Line, Play Nice - Rift between reform oriented progressives and establishment widens - By Michael Sainato • 02/15/17 1:00pm"

Read that item. Bernie tied to the whipping post?

The Hill, last Valentines Day, with an interesting lead image; same whipping post tune:

The Senate minority leader convened a meeting last month between Sanders, a liberal stalwart, and a group of Democrats Sanders criticized for voting against an amendment he co-wrote to lower the cost of prescription drugs by allowing their importation from Canada.

One lawmaker described the atmosphere in the room as “frustrated.”

Sanders’s colleagues complained about an interview he gave to USA Today, a newspaper with the nation’s third-highest circulation, in which he said some Democrats lacked “guts” because they were unwilling to stand up to the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, one of the most influential associations in the nation’s capital.

He said it was “disappointing” that 13 Senate Democrats didn’t “stand up to powerful special interests like the pharmaceutical industry.” His public comments were especially offensive because Schumer tapped Sanders to serve on his leadership team in November, appointing him to serve as chairman of outreach.

Reaching out to rile up activists against fellow Democratic senators, however, is not what the leader had in mind.

“You cannot do that if you’re in the leadership,” said one senator who did not approve of Sanders’s tactics and requested anonymity to speak frankly.

Truth be damned, march to the tune and salute? Hang the populist-progressive support out to dry, lobbyist money is green?

Is that the story behind the "unity tour" with the likes of Tom Perez? Bernie pressured by the dark corporatist Inner Party?

Politico yesterday, here, Young Turks here.

Reading the Politico item before watching the video likely is best, but not totally necessary. Cenk goes point/counterpoint. And he's got the hammer. The public by awesome percentages backs Bernie. Public be damned? That seems a strange way to think about making Trump a single termer; (if that's really a Dem Inner Party aim).

So the corporatists are upset. Gee. We should care. Because, why, again?

What is relevant, this on YouTube a Sanders-Kasich Town Hall style hour-long debate/discussion. Leave Donna Brzile and Donald Trump out, as polarizing forces against what the people may really want. Politico posted May 16. Cenk's analysis was posted May 16. The debate video was posted May 16. The Montana election will be May 25. Bernie will be in Montana to help Rob Quist May 20-21. Bernie is putting it on the line, corporate media [Politico] is throwing stones and Ossoff will later be at issue in Georgia. Bernie's apparently not been asked to appear in Georgia 'burbs for Ossoff, so he is on his own with the Inner Party backing. Here's hoping he wins.

But Bernie having to push the big rock up the big hill at age 79 [a year older than Joe Biden who's relaxing and not pushing for anything] needs a Rob Quist victory to sustain his aim to enlighten and reshape the Democratic Party as one of only two relevant parties in the US of A, and his aim is only to move that party away from donor/lobbyist love, toward what the clear upset majority of the people of the nation want and expect from those supposedly tasked with representing their interests.

And the young. The future of the nation and of either party. Hang them out to dry because Hiam Saban wants this or that, Goldman Sachs has an agenda, Soros has money? Shortsighted people are the bane of a nation. But they want their donor/consultancy money. They will stab Keith Ellison in the back, because wanting it is such a core value to them. They've stabbed Ellison in the back already, and with Politico they're at their honing stones for Bernie.

Hope for Rob Quist to carry Montana. And while others can be small, don't be. Hope also for Ossoff in Georgia.

_____________UPDATE_____________
At about 25 min into the Sanders-Kasich discussion, Kasich says something about party/nation. They move from there, it mainly is a critique of Trump, start to finish, and not a party allegiance critique.

___________FURTHER UPDATE___________
At about the 38-1/2 min mark, one of the narrators noted next month a Sanders-Kasich session will be held on issues, not on a Trump crisis theme. That is this one. One and done. On the issues will be far more informative, escpecially if there are grounds for agreement on anything between the two. Differences, expected, consensus, that would be a matter of import.

At 42-43 minutes onward the conversation gets interesting - who matters.

At 49 min, . . .

__________FURTHER UPDATE___________
Establishment Dem bashing, it happens, it has its purpose. Without it the corporate story stays the party story, and the people take it raw.
