That link, a Seattle paper's online edition carrying a New York Times item describes things as a really lax security setup, intrusion via a server to POS terminals, and notice of a problem absent until Secret Service personnel informed Target, saying the equivalent of, "You guys might have a bit of a problem ...".

At a guess, there may be some Twin Cities IT job openings soon. Replacements. Or exchanges at Target.
