Unless I miscalculate, today is the 150th anniversity of the Emancipation Proclamation.

Today's Republicans should emulate founding-father principles. Lincoln proclaimed that effective January 1, 1863, all owned slaves in the States in rebellion were free, without compensation of any measure to ownership property rights. Today's Republicans likewise should dump any/all pathologically simplistic obsessions with "PROPERTY RIGHTS!!" in honor of Lincoln.

That is only opinion. It is not an expectation.

The anniversary is the 150th. See Guardian, Daily Beast, ISR.
