Nolan wins tightly contested DFL Eighth Congressional District Contest.

Either the GOP turnout was low, having an incumbent, or more likely, there was GOP crossover to monkey around with the DFL contest.

There was a similar turnout situation in CD 1, where Quist defeated Parry in the GOP primary contest (and incumbent Tim Walz drew less than the combined GOP side, suggesting crossover voting). The GOP side of the Senate primary was a surprise, where Bills as the endorsed candidate won but not at all by a Kloburchar-like landslide:

Bachmann defeated her CD 6 challengers and drew more votes than Jim Graves and those challenging Bachmann. That is unfortunate.
