In proactively addressing the foreclosure vacancy problem, Woodbury helps people, while Ramsey officials help millionaire Flaherty to create vacancies.

Go figure. This link, on Woodbury.

I imagine Darren Lazan likes the Ramsey situation better.

___________UPDATE____________
This link. The Flaherty thing will put pressure on the rentals market in the remainder of Ramsey, where, per that Strib item, some buyer-owner units are being turned to rentals because in today's market selling for a profit or to break even presents difficulty. Those owning and renting out existing Town Center units can thank the council, Landform, and Flaherty for making their fiscal lives more interesting. This would be particularly so, if as some expect, Flaherty cannot get the ambitious rental rates being projected, and cuts rents to gain occupancy.

It could devastate others if Flaherty does encounter low demand and takes the cut-rate tactic. It would of course be good for renters, whenever landlords enter a price war. As with filling station price wars being good for consumers.
