More money is being pumped into a sparsely used parking ramp in Ramsey.
It's a story 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has been tracking for years.
Anoka County agreed to spend about $3 million from a federal grant for the Northstar project.
The money will be used to add 350 more spaces to the parking ramp, even though 80 percent of spots are almost always empty.
The ramp went up five years ago at a cost of $5 million in anticipation of a Northstar rail station.
Now the money is in place for the station to go up next year. That's expected to draw more people.
The county hopes businesses will come and condos will be built once the train stops there.
