Latest news on former City of Ramsey administrator, James Norman, who was charged during 2010 with multi-count credit card fraud during his brief tenure as city manager of Albert Lea.

He will go to trial starting at 9am in Freeborn County on Monday, May 9th. The jury will be seated that morning with Freeborn Co. residents, but Mower Co. Judge Fred Wellmann will drive here and hear the case. It should take 3-5 days.

Sometimes cases settle at the last minute, but this prosecuting authority seems steadfast.

Prior Crabgrass posts on the subject, this Google. Links and quotes from local news outlets are in those posts. Readers are encouraged next week to follow the unfolding story. Barring emergency or neglect, I will try to find coverage and post of it on Crabgrass.

_____________UPDATE______________
This KIMT link also mentions a May 9 trial date and a predicted trial length of three days (per the prosecutor, Brenda Miller). It stands in agreement with the cut/paste info in the post, from an email forwarded to me. If you desire more info, the reporter, Ms. Siewert's email is:
