Tinklenberg's First Mailing that this Household Received.

You be the judge - positive or negative? Effective or contrived? Front and back, respectively, as above. My impression, it's negative. Toward Bachmann.

It says nothing about what he's been doing for a living since leaving MnDOT Oct. 2002. But why be negative about himself, in his mailing, by being truthful about what he's done for money?

It looks, backside, as if it is a stock Dem. image item, the Dems having set up the legislative agenda since taking a House majority in anticipation of making hay off House votes - offering DOA legislation without caring since it was less for enactment than as fodder for election propaganda.

It is the functional and moral equivalent of the GOP last cycle with flags and anti-gay venom and always anti-abortion, but more subtle and hence less insulting to thinking voters - marginally less so.

Tink has never been a childrens' advocate like Patty Wetterling nor is he a veteran nor a veterans' advocate. He's been a highwayman. Gaining wealth that way. In the MnDOT -&- taconite paving for profit sense at least if not in the actual armed/masked British banditry tradition.

Go figure. Is it effective to you? Does it resonate?

Will it change or strengthen your previous voting intent?

Is it, Ho, hum, and into the round file?

________UPDATE__________
With regard to the "stock Dem. image" impression, notice how on the backside the inserted name, "Michele Bachmann" is in a different font. If any readers learn of this same image, different name inserted being used nationwide, or in targeted districts. please leave a comment.

A second update - after talking about it with others. The little urchin - be incensed thing remains offensive to me, as political in total. But I think the veterans' funding legislation proposals were real. Some used the issue, but many were true about intending to do right. You have people volunteering for stressful high-risk duty, you treat them respectfully. The VA hospital decrepitude that Bush allowed, and the reports of higher than regular civilian suicide rates among active duty military, those are serious, as are stories of marriage and family stresses on returning from a tour. All that is real and if you put troops, even highly trained and prepared volunteers, into the two wars Bush started then you support them with more than bluster and flag lapel pins made in China.

You do not just talk and use a veteran as a photo-op prop as has been done in the Sixth District, recently, say in the last two years.
